Busy days at PBYM

Date: 16 Feb 2017

Venue: Maryke House, Cork

It has been a busy week or two for Jemma and the PBYM team.

PBYM hosted two different First Year retreats for Colaiste an Spioraid Naoimh students at the PBYM Centre, Mardyke House last week. Jemma was helped by 3 CSN students who are currently doing Youth Alpha at Mardyke House. Patrick, Eoin and Cian assisted on both days and were a wonderful addition to the team. The students all had time to talk about their expectations of secondary school compared to the reality and what they can expect in the oncoming years. Once again, the prayer stations proved popular with the students.

Meanwhile, the SHARE team held their fortnightly meeting at the PBYM Centre, Mardyke House last week. During their meeting, Jemma spoke to them about being part of the Presentation Family. In small groups, the team then discussed ways that PBYM might be able to minister to them as they continue their excellent service to the elderly. A big thank you to Mark and Michael for arranging and leading such a great team this year. In related news, the refurbished SHARE homes in Blackpool will be re-opening on 20th February.
