The Presentation Family's Celebrate 2015 events in Cork and Dublin were celebrated with great heart last week.

On Thursday 19th November, one hundred people gathered in the Ambassador Hotel in Cork for an evening of celebration, inspiration and food, prayerfully led by Presentation Brothers' Youth Ministry (PBYM) Coordinator Ms Silvia Maria Crowley. The group included the wonderful choir from Bunscoil Chriost Ri, who enchanted the gathering with three wonderful songs. The array of great speakers on the night included PBYM volunteers, members of NET Ministry, and and interview with one of the Presentation Brothers' novices, Br Stanislaus Visuvasam.

The following evening, Friday 20th November, the celebrations moved up to Dublin, where a wonderful event was held in St Joseph's Parish Pastoral Centre in Glasthule, Co Dublin. Forty guests joined in an intimate evening of celebration, prayer and inpiring talks. Evangelisation Officer Mr John Quinn led the evening, with a presentation on the life of Blessed Edmund Rice, while the guest speakers included those who attended our pilgrimages to Lough Derg and Callan/Mount Sion, one of the leaders from the Alpha course, and students from Presentation College Bray. Music on the night was led powerfully by Jamie Ryan, a first year student at Pres Bray, who reduced the group to a stunned silence, following an inspirational rendition of Nessun Dorma. Finally, there was an unexpected cameo from Elijah, the five-year old son of Pres Bray Art teacher Mr Rooney. Elijah wowed the audience with his amazing insights into the refugee crisis affecting Europe, as his father showcased artwork which had been created at the Youth Summit at the RDS the day previously by Pres Bray students.

Both evenings were resounding successes, allowing people to gather as the Presentation Family and celebrate the amazing achievments of the past year.
