Invitation to Christmas Eve Mass

Date: 24 Dec 2015

Venue: Mount St Joseph, Cork

Our annual Christmas Eve Mass at Mount St. Joseph gathers friends, families and people of all ages connected to the Presentation Family across Cork city. This year the focus of our Christmas Mass - at 9pm - will be on praying for peace.

In a ‘post Paris’ world, we remember all those who suffer because of warfare and violence. We remember especially the victims of the recent atrocities in Paris, Baghdad, Beirut and Mali. We also think of members of our own Presentation Family in northern Nigeria who have suffered from the violence of Boko Haram.

We pray that the coming of Christ at Christmas may herald a new era of peace for humanity.

Whether you are a regular Church goer or not you are very welcome to join us for this special Mass on Christmas Eve.

“Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters.  Those who claim to believe in God must also be men and women of peace…Together we must say no to hatred, to revenge and to violence.” (Pope Francis, 30 November 2015, Central African Republic)
