Recent terrorist atrocities in Paris, Baghdad, Beirut and Mali have shocked our world, and pose a challenge to our common humanity, and particularly to Christian hope.
Very soon that wounded city of Paris will host a major U.N. Conference on climate change. Pope Francis has reminded us strongly in his encyclical ‘Laudato Si’ of the connection between the cry of the earth, the cry of the poor, justice and right relationship.
In anticipation of the Climate Change Conference (COP21), Br. Kevin Mascarenhas has passed on this document. As this important event approaches, let us keep our world leaders and policy makers in prayer as they gather in Paris for COP21.
