Twenty Presentation Associates joined the Brothers at our community in Grenada recently for an annual celebration of our Founder, Blessed Edmund Rice

Associate, Beverly Steele sent us this report of what sounds like a great evening!

First of all, we were delighted to see that Brother Francis Shafer, the Province Leader of the Our Lady of the Americas Province to which we belong, was in Grenada to celebrate the Feast with us. In addition, a young man from St Lucia who was visiting the Brothers in Grenada to experience the life and vocation of the Presentation Brothers was also a part of the happy group.

As we came in, we were directed to the Prayer Room where we were led through the Angelus for Vocations by our new friend from St Lucia. He then treated us to a very interesting PowerPoint on the life of Edmund Rice.

Brother Matthias, acting as our gracious host for the evening, then invited us to a mouth-watering buffet, carefully and tastefully prepared by Marjorie Garvey and her staff.  Happy conversations took place during the meal, and many photographs were taken. At this time we have a special couple amongst us – Mr & Mrs Yoan Baldeo, who are expecting their first child. This is “our” first baby and it is such a pleasure to share in the anticipation of this birth. Please join us in praying for this couple and for the young man from St Lucia!

All too soon the evening drew to a close, and it was time to say goodbye, and wind our way home. Once more we had enjoyed the true fellowship and community that comes with being an Associate of the Presentation Brothers. Somehow there was the feeling that our Founder, Blessed Edmund, was also well pleased at the evening’s happenings.
