Video: A one minute review of the Papal Visit to Sri Lanka.

Our Sri Lankan Presentation Brothers at the International Novitiate in Killarney, Ireland are glued to the television and internet this week as Pope Francis visits their homeland. On Wednesday the Holy Father canonised Fr Joseph Vaz at a Mass attended by over half a million people in Colombo. Later that day he travelled to the Shrine of Our Lady at Madhu in the north of the country, the home place of our Brothers.

The Holy Father is making his second visit to Asia from Tuesday, 13th January to Monday, 19th January. You can follow the main ceremonies of the Pope's tour on the Vatican's YouTube channel.

Highlights include: Wednesday's Papal Mass in Colombo and the visit to the Marian shrine at Madhu in the north of Sri Lanka; Saturday's visit to Tacloban in the Philippines ravaged by Typhoon Yolanda; and Sunday's Mass in Manila, expected to draw as many as 6 million people.

Let us pray this week for the safety of the Pope and the millions of people who will be journeying to be with him.
