Our Brothers in Gboko in Benue State, Nigeria marked 'Pres Day' with a special celebration at their community house.
Priests, religious and lay people working in the diocese of Gboko gathered to mark this special feast with the community. The Brothers' house in Gboko is dedicated to Brother James Prudumme, a Canadian Presentation Brother, who died while on mission in Ghana.
Earlier in the day, the Brothers attended Mass at St John the Baptist Cathedral in Gboko and, later, there were special prayers in the Brothers' chapel to mark the day. Brother Paul Atole Paul gave a short speech during which he pointed out that the founder of the Presentation Brothers, Blessed Edmund Rice, had a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin.
Fr Emmanuel Udu, Vicar General of Gboko diocese, thanked Brother Paul and the other Brothers, for their work in the diocese.
