Presentation Brothers Secondary School (PBSS) in Tafawa Balewa in Nigeria has been honoured at a special Education Summit and Award Night organized by the Nigerian Federal House of Representatives Committee on Education. PBSS was noted in particular for its academic excellence. The ceremony took place in the capital city, Abuja.

“Each State in the federation selected twenty schools,” explains Brother Kirwe, Principal at PBSS. “We were truly honoured when the State Ministry of Education chose us to represent Bauchi State in Abuja.”

PBSS was opened in 2008 and today has over 200 students.

“The school has grown over the years thanks to the hard work, determination and commitment of my predecessors, Br John Guinane and Br Bernard Gazire," says Br Kirwe. "They set a high standard and we wish to build on that foundation.”

“We really thank God for his guidance, direction, provision and protection on our parents, teachers and students who have labored over the years to achieving this great success. We continue to ask for the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary and Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice. We dedicate this award to all who contributed to this success story!"
