Senator Ronan Mullen Visits SHARE Students

On Thursday February 11th 2016, Senator Rónán Mullen gave a talk to SHARE students in Cork. During his visit, Senator Mullen spoke about his own time as a volunteer in Paris when he was a student, and also on how he got into politics and became an independent senator. He allowed time afterwards for questions, many of which were thought-provoking, and which he answered respectfully. Some students from the SHARE executive and he went for dinner afterwards. Meanwhile, 30 Transition Year Students began the Alpha Course in Coláiste Chríost Rí on Tuesday 26th January 2016. The Presentation Brothers Youth Ministry (PBYM) Coordinator, Ms Silvia-Maria Crowley, and her team are running the course. The course itself is on a hiatus at present as the students are on work experience for two weeks, but they will resume Alpha on their return to school.
