Justice and advocacy

“Faithful to the inspiration of our Founder, we hunger and thirst for justice so that all peoples, especially youth, can achieve the fullness of human and spiritual growth and development.” (Constitution 6, Constitutions of the Presentation Brothers).

In a world where 120 million children have no access to even basic education, we affirm that the Christian formation of poor youth will continue to be our mission.

Advocacy

Much of the world’s poverty is caused by systemic injustice. As part of our work for justice, we engage in advocacy work with policy makers on behalf of those who are made poor.

Edmund Rice International (ERI) in Geneva is a collaborative project of the Christian Brothers and the Presentation Brothers. It is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) commited to advocating on behalf of young people who are marginalised because of poverty. Check out the ERI website for details of advocacy work.
