Large crowds turned out to celebrate with Brother Ray Dwyer as he marked 25 years of religious life at a special Mass and reception at St Joseph\'s Parish in Glasthule.
Mass was celebrated by Monsignor Dan O\'Connor, Fr Brian O\'Sullivan PE, Fr Billy Farrell and Fr Denis Kennedy CSSp and many well wishers from St Joseph\'s Parish.

Br Ray was joined by members of his family from Cork and by several Presentation Brothers for the occasion.
A collection of photos from the evening is available in the Photo Gallery.
Afterwards a special presentation was made to Br Ray in the Parish Pastoral Centre.
“It’s been a day of great memories and also thanksgiving”,
said Brother Ray after the ceremony. “Life as a Brother has been diverse and exciting. Since I made my first
profession as a Brother in 1987 I’ve worked as a school chaplain at Coláiste
Chríost Rí in Turner’s Cross, as a missionary
in the West Indies, as a social worker in Cork city, and now again as a chaplain at Presentation College Bray. I’ve also had the opportunity to
do a Masters in Education on alcohol abuse among the young. So, it’s been a
rich and rewarding quarter of a century. For any young man who is thinking
about his future I’d recommend that he consider this way of life and discern if the Lord is calling him to it!”
