Computers arrive in Nigeria!

Presentation Brothers Secondary School (PBSS) has taken delivery of 7 computers which have been donated by Brother Henry Spencer and friends in Canada.  The computers are to assist students of PBSS in learning Information and Communication Technology which has become a core subject in the Nigerian education curriculum.

The new deputy principal, Brother Vitalis Maabobrkuu and Brother Mathias undertook the journey to purchase the new computers in the Bauchi State capital.

"The students were delighted that many of them can now have access to a computer keyboard when it comes to learning computer practicals.  These additional seven computers will add up to make 18 computers in total dedicated to students’ use," according to school principal Br Bernard Gazire.

"Our aim is to stock the computer laboratory with at least 30 computers to ease access to computer use by our more than 160 students."

The computer teacher, Mr Lumi Noah, on behalf of the students thanked the donors for their generosity and urged others to emulate this good example by contributing to the development of disadvantaged children in rural societies.
