This is a busy pilgrimage weekend in the west of Ireland with the National Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick (pictured left) and the annual Summer Youth Festival at the National Shrine at Knock.
Brother Barry Noel is attending the Knock Youth Festival with our postulants Raj and Theva and our novices Callistus and Augustine. Hundreds of young adults are expected for the day-long event.
On Sunday, Brother Martin Kenneally and Brother Patrick Fitzgibbon are bringing a bus load of young people to climb Croagh Patrick. The last Sunday of July is known as Reek Sunday and is the day of the National Pilgrimage which will see as many as 20,000 pilgrims ascend the mountain. Mass will be offered every half hour from 8am to 2pm and confessions will be heard from 7.30am.
The Brothers will remember the intentions of all the members of the Presentation Family this weekend.
